Highest Near-Mint-In-Box Automatic TWC Mission Moon Triple-Date Chrono Moonphase Deeply Discounted!!!    $1,825 + $25 (S/H/I)

This watch is an outstanding product of the Towson Watch Company (TWC), located in Towson, Md., a suburb of Baltimore.  The Towson Watch Company was founded in 2000, by two gentlemen whose passion is working with watches.  After 40 years of experience repairing high-grade watches, repeaters, chronographs and making his own tourbillon watches, George Thomas, a master watchmaker met his partner Hartwig Balke, a graduate in mechanical engineering and talented watchmaker.  Together they embarked on a venture to produce fine timepieces.

The manufacture of a watch made by TOWSON WATCH CO. is a complex, sophisticated process.  The design is a combination of strongly lined, modern elements with old traditional handcrafted components, which give this timepiece its outstandingly powerful look.  This range of TWC chronographs is the expression of a constant innovative search for functionality and perfection. Timepieces made by Towson Watch Co. are of  finest materials and combine latest manufacturing technology with outstanding watchmaker skills and craftsmanship.

In the old days, a watch was not finished until it was decorated.  Time spent on piercing and engraving to make a watch look wonderful sometimes took longer than building it.  Engine turned dials (guilloche), hand engraved movements and the use of finest materials are the trademark of these fine timepieces from TWC.  For watch connoisseurs and collectors who appreciate craftsmanship and want to express their understanding for this highly skilled profession, TWC still takes the time to make timepieces which are not the mass produced watches of today.

When the space shuttle Endeavour, scheduled for its first launch in the new millennium, took off at 12:44 p.m. on February the 10th, 2000 from launch pat 39A of the Kennedy Space Center for the (SRTM) Shuttle Radar Topographic Mission, a watch manufactured by the Towson Watch Company was on board.  The watch was the answer to the challenge of precision timekeeping combined with the realization of a personal dream.  A second Chronograph worn during the same Mission was donated to the NAWCC Watch and Clock Museum in Pennsylvania.

This TWC Model Mission Moon Phase Chronograph is in a 39.7mm x 13.3mm high-polished SS case with sapphire display back secured by seven fine screws, water resistant to 50 meters.  This watch has a sapphire crystal and polished bezel with coin edge trim.  The beautifully detailed black guilloche dial has the tachymeter all around (nice touch within the crystal), the TWC logo at three, moon phase at six, subsidiary seconds and twenty-four hour register at nine, and day and month at twelve.  This highly complicated watch has the optional hand-engraved (a $205 option) 24K gold plated initials on the rotor.  It is on a matching signed SS high-polished Executive FIFE link bracelet (the more expensive option than the strap) with hidden double deployant clasp and eight screw links for easy sizing.  The watch is in the highest near-mint condition, without a mark or scratch anywhere on the case or crystal (the little dot on the bezel in the first pic was just the reflection of the dust on the white floor), with very minor surface scuffs around the clasp.  The highly-decorated, hand-assembled Caliber 7751 25-jewel Swiss automatic movement keeps accurate time to one second per day, and all the functions work precisely.  This two-year-old watch, coming with its boxes and papers, is being sold elsewhere at $3,600 -- its peer in the strap version only but the executive bracelet version is a $250 option!  And the company does not discount it under $3,100.  It is now yours for $1,825 (at least 54% off!) plus $25 shipping/handling/insurance.  Available!
