Near Mint Tutima Commando II Chronograph with Everything and Even An Extra Strap - Low Low Price!!! $1,110 ($2,400 list) + $25 (S/H/I)
From its modest beginnings in 1927 as a small group of apprentices in Glashutte, Saxony, through the economic turmoil of WWI, and the ultimate survival of a legendary brand into the present, Tutima has never lost sight of its tradition of watchmaking standards. The founders derived the Tutima name from the Latin adjective "tutus," which translates as "safe" or "protected". No small wonder then that Tutima is the trusted name for military and air force units worldwide. Tutima's traditional timepieces rise to the challenge of presenting you as a man who is secure in himself and one who stands alone.
Tutima watches are built like tanks… many models are actually supplied to NATO pilots. Notice how the chrono pushers are flat against the case so that there are no protruding buttons to break off or injure in the event of violent contact. Also, the Lemania 5100 movement is the most rugged chrono movement made, and the chrono function with the minutes and seconds hand on the center wheel offers maximum legibility.
If reliability is what you require, prepare to get more: the Commando II is the ultimate mission timer for task forces. The solid SS casing and bracelet ensure that a durable instrument is on your side while the Lemania 5100 caliber automatic movement verifies that you are getting the best of Swiss performance. Screw down crown provides 200 meters of water resistance, and the crown-side of the case contains hidden pusher buttons. Read the chronograph from highly luminous hands and markers through the anti-glare treated sapphire crystal.
Awesome, seemingly indestructible German military flieger chronograph! 95% condition for case per TZ grading, free of scratches, dinks and dents but just a few very tiny (and I mean tiny) light surface scuffs on the lower side. Includes both SS bracelet (90% and has some surface scuffing on it) and Tutima black leather strap (90% shows slight wear but still in excellent condition) with signed buckle. The watch's Lemania 5100 automatic movement keeps time near perfect, never serviced or opened. Includes all boxes, booklet and hangtag. What is unusual about this watch is that it is designed with pushers and recessed crown on left side for tactical reasons. This hard-to-find watch has a retail price of $2,400 USD if you can find it. It is yours for $1,110 plus $25 shipping/handling/insurance within CONUS.
