Jaeger-LeCoultre's name is one that should never be omitted from the list of classic, true watch manufacturer.  This company is not only known to the connoisseur as a producer of the finest timepieces manufacturer according to traditional methods, it has also discreetly supplied other reputable watch manufacturers with quality movements for decades.

The early Jaeger-LeCoultre watch movements were constructed by hand, and required approximately 1000 steps of manual dexterity.  The Jaeger-LeCoultre watchmakers of today still adjust their watches by hand, as this traditional, labor-intensive method has proven to enhance timekeeping accuracy.  The company believed that the beauty of the watch appearance should be a representation of the sophistication of the watch movement embedded within.  Today, the Jaeger-LeCoultre watches are constructed with these same design principals, making the Jaeger-LeCoultre watches wearable, functional works of modern art.

In particular, the most well-known product made by JLC is the Reverso Model family.  This is a fine specimen of that.  It is an 18K solid yellow gold manual winding Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Memory with with the hours, minutes and subsidiary seconds on a beautiful silver dial, and a memory minute counter with flyback function on a black dial on the other side.  The watch is in a 38.5mm (including the lugs) x 23.3mm x 9.6mm 18K yellow gold rectangular case.  It is a heavy watch with all these gold and especially with the bracelet.  Although the pictures below of the actual watch can reveal its beauty to a certain degree, when you hold the watch up close, you'll be able to admire such fine craftsmanship.  This watch is new with the factory plastic still on.  I unwrapped the case in order to take a few pictures.  It has a list price of $16,500.  Jomashop has the same one for sale for $16,300, while Watchsavings sells it at $16,308.  Now it is yours for only $7,600 (major major savings!!!) plus $80 shipping/handling/insurance.  With gold hitting all time high, this is a rare find!!!  Sold!
