The Explorer II, Model 16570, is one of the most popular of all the Rolex sports models, in a 40mm x 12.1mm SS screw-back case, water resistant to 100 meters.  It has a desirable dial, independently set 24-hour hand, and fixed bezel with the 24-hour markings. This watch is on an Oyster Fliplock bracelet with the new style short clasp, solid end links (SEL), and all thirteen links (I removed several links to fit my wrist but all links will be included).  The entire watch is in near-mint 90%-plus condition, with some surface scuffs here and there as evidence of careful and light use. The bracelet was Rolex-factory-installed in that it has the factory number (a small imprinted number at the end links where they connect to the case) on it, unlike many of the Rolexes out there where the authorized dealers put the bracelet on the watches.  The factory green sticker is still on the case back but fading. The automatic movement maintains accurate time to one second per day.  The A serial number would date the production from 1999 to 2001.  It is ideal for both sports watch and a dress watch.  This near mint watch, which comes with all boxes, hang tags, and all papers including the chronometer certificate, has a current list price of $4,100 with 5% factory price increase in March 2004.  Save big and It is yours for $2,775 plus $45 shipping/handling/insurance.
