Breitling is the only watch brand with significant production numbers of automatic as well as quartz calibers, some of which are very complicated, to the COSC for chronometer testing.  It goes without saying that quality and robustness play a vital role in Breitling's instrument production for professionals.  Simulating dropping a watch from a height of 3 feet, hammer-striking via a special apparatus "goft club", special machines to press the chronograph buttons many thousands of time both in and out of water, rotating bezels up to 20,000 times, etc., are just some of the rigorous quality testings for every single watch.

This is a mere 8-month old Breitling Colt Chronograph Certified Chronometer, with all boxes and papers.  The hour hand could be moved independently for both time zone and date adjustment without stopping the chronometer.  Resynchronization with an internet time source like Greenwich or Time Ticker would not be required each time a time zone or date adjustment was needed to be made - a great advantage since this is a very accurate watch - Breitling advertized it as being a thermo-compensated super-quartz movement, with a claimed accuracy of a mere ±15 seconds per YEAR!  The power source (battery) is supposed to last 5 years.

The dial is white with the three small chronograph dials being blue.  In the event of preferring the stitched leather Breitling strap, these colors would nicely match the blue leather version.  I have also included a used Breitling strap/buckle ($275 value; see pic below) in this package, so you can have both options.  The dial has the slab type indices and an inverted triangle at 12 o’clock.  Luminova tips are on the outer third of each slab.  The hands are beautifully crafted, seven in all.  The hours and minute hands are both nicely luminous.
