Truly Near-Mint-In-Box 18K Rose Gold Blancpain Limited Edition Leman Self-winding (100-hour power reserve!) Complete Calendar Moon Phase with Black Guilloche Sunburst Dial and Strap with Signed 18K Buckle, Only 300 Ever Made!!!    $5,995 (list at $11,800 and bought at $8,900) + $60 (S/H/I)

Spectacular watch!  Simply a work of art!  That is what Blancpain is known for.  Founded in 1735 by Jehan-Jacques Blancpain, Blancpain is the watch house that has actually produced contemporary luxury watches with little or no compromise in the art of watch-making.  Everything is executed with the same level of integrity (dial, case, movement, etc.).  Sticking true to their tradition, in fact so much so that they only make mechanical timepieces with round faces, every Blancpain watch is hand-assembled and polished from start to finish by a designated watchmaker at Blancpain, individually numbered and signed.  Boxes, bracelets, straps and buckles are of the highest possible quality, in keeping with the company's strict emphasis on quality.  As for the movements, they are designed and crafted completely in-house, and based exclusively on high-quality ebauches that are provided by their sister company, Frederic Piguet.  Since Piguet and Blancpain share the same building, it might be said that a Blancpain watch features an in-house movement.  Blancpain's production is extremely limited, with fewer than 10,000 watches per year being produced, but the limited production does not diminish Blancpain from being one of the most respected watch companies in the world.

This limited edition one is of course even rarer, with only 300 ever made!  Its stepped 18k rose gold case is 38mm in diameter with a solid 18k rose gold back with engraving "177/300" and "Limited Edition" on it.  It has a special black guilloche sunburst dial for this limited edition and what a dial it is!  It features anti-reflective domed sapphire crystal, complete calendar and moon phase, water resistant to 30 meters, and a power reserve of 100 hours in an ultra slim self-winding movement (wow!).  The slender movement of this watch required absolutely flawless construction and all the skill of the master watchmaker who spent three months of his life assembling and polishing it with painstaking care so that this timepiece can be handed down as precious heirlooms from one generation to another.  This watch was on a solid 18k rose gold X-11 bracelet, with matte and glossy polished solid gold links, not hollow ones.  The bracelet was very tight and had no stretch (95% condition at least).  All links will be included.  With its bracelet, this is a heavy watch, with an impressive amount of gold, not for a frail of wrist and mind!  The bracelet had been sold, and the watch comes with its two strap and the 18K Blancpain signed buckle now!  Blancpain's movement is gorgeous to look at.  This watch has a solid gold caseback but you can have Blancpain fit it with a display caseback at your own option.

The previous owner paid $9,800 for the watch with a strap and buckle (with the receipt to show) on 11/15/2000.  He added the bracelet and the bracelet alone was a $11,700 special order from Blancpain (with the receipt to show) and is never available pre-owned.  Altogether, the previous owner paid $21,500.  The watch (the regular model only and not this limited edition version with the special dial) is listed with bracelet for $22,100.  The entire watch is in truly near-mint condition, 94 to 95%, with only a few surface hairlines near the clasp and minimum signs of wear with a few very faint surface hairlines on the lugs and case back (didn't even show in the pictures below).  All these can be easily buffed out.  Again, the bracelet had been sold separately already!  Two Blancpain straps: a dark brown leather one and a black crocodile one, as well as a matching signed 18k rose gold tang buckle will be included.  All these will come with the gorgeous presentation box of inlaid wood, an outer box (slightly blemished) and the thick instruction manual with registration papers.  It can be yours for only $11,995 $5,995 plus $60 shipping/handling/insurance.  Sold on 6-17-05!
