Edward, Cheers! By the way, your web-site is exceptionally good, and not just in comparison with the lamentable state of the medium. I can't judge (let alone help with) your job-professional matters (I teach philosophy at $90,000 a year), though your description of watches combined with your photographs show both exceptional intelligence and taste--which is today an at once crucial and rare combination, and speaks brilliantly for you. Regarding watches, I am no collector. I just wear them. I don't happen to like gold in any form (even substance let alone, god or goddess forbid, color) or chronographs; and all but the Invicta-type line is far, far beyond my cash flow. Well out of the blue, my mailman showed up with the watch. I’ve looked over the watch and leather strap and everything is perfect as you said. I haven’t taken out the bracelet, but it looks to be all there. I didn’t think I’d like the leather strap with the additional leather under the case. But it feels pretty nice actually. So I may just leave it on. I found what looked like a flaking piece of gold plate on the bezel. It turned out to be some plastic that was stuck on. It wiped off with a soft damp cloth. So no issues there. The gold sets off the appearance really nice. The contrast with the black dial and leather looks real smart. I just wish it had a display back. I do like watching automatic movements doing their stuff.

Edward, thank you again for selling me this very nice watch. It will take its place next to my Ball Hydrocarbon and some day soon the rose gold Zenith that my dad is holding for me in San Jose . If you get in any new watches, please let me know.
